Not every couple wants a ballroom. If you'd rather celebrate somewhere warm and familiar, with food your guests will talk about, Galati's Hideaway is a short drive from Crystal Lake, Barrington and Lake Zurich, right here in Cary.
Smaller receptions fit beautifully in the first-floor Fireplace Room (up to 80 guests). The Catwalk, with its own full bar, holds up to 70, and for a bigger guest list we open the whole top floor for up to 150. There's no room fee for the first 4 hours, and every package includes white linen tablecloths and black linen napkins.

Come on in: Galati's is fully accessible, with an elevator to the upstairs rooms, and there's plenty of free parking. Every party includes 4 hours of room time with no room fee ($200 for each extra hour), every room has sound and TV hookups, every banquet package includes white linen tablecloths and black linen napkins, and our banquet rooms are open 7 days a week: Monday–Wednesday 11 AM–11:30 PM, Thursday–Saturday 11 AM–midnight and Sunday 11 AM–10 PM. Your final headcount is due 72 hours before the event.

- Family-style upgrade: $6 per person, minimum 30 people
- Appetizer packages: $19 (3 choices) or $21 (4 choices) per person
- Champagne punch bowl: $89 per bowl
- Bar packages: 3 hours, $20–$36 per person (guests 21+), or a host, limited host or cash bar

How many guests can attend a wedding reception at Galati's?
The whole top floor holds up to 150 guests. The first-floor Fireplace Room holds up to 80, Rooms One and Two together up to 100 and the Catwalk up to 70.
Can we serve dinner family style?
Yes. Create-your-own buffets can be upgraded to family style for $6 per person, with a minimum of 30 people.
Do you offer bar packages for receptions?
Yes. Three-hour wine-and-beer packages are $20 or $23 per person and full-bar packages $24, $28 or $36, or you can choose a host bar, limited host bar or cash bar. Guests must be 21 or older with a valid ID.
Can we bring our own wedding cake?
Yes. Store-bought cakes and desserts are welcome, and we'll plate and serve them for free.
Is there a room fee for a reception?
Not for the first 4 hours. Every reception includes 4 hours of room time with no room fee, and each extra hour is $200. Package prices are per person and exclude tax and 20% gratuity, with a 25-guest minimum, and kids under 12 are half price.
