Meet Vince Galati
Vince Galati, the founder of Galati’s, grew up in Norridge, Illinois. At 18 he moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to work side by side with his uncle, who owned and ran a local restaurant. A year and a half later he came home with the knowledge and experience to start his own business.
Vince’s first pizza place was Varro’s Pizza, at Knollwood and Bode Roads in Schaumburg, which he ran until 1994. In Cary he opened Pizza Junction, which he later rebranded as Galati’s, and Galati’s has been serving Cary since 1992. From 1998 until November 2014, Galati’s served Cary from Spring Street.
In 2014 Vince opened Galati’s Hideaway at 800 Feinberg Court, adding a larger dining room and bar plus upstairs banquet and party rooms. We’ve been here ever since.
Made from scratch in our kitchen
We use fresh ingredients, delivered daily. Here’s what we make in-house:
- Pizza dough and pizza sauce, made from scratch every day
- All of our soups, made from scratch every morning
- Chili
- All pasta sauces, and made-to-order sauté sauces for our entrées
- Handmade meatballs
- The spinach and cheese filling for our spinach rotolo
- The cheese filling for our manicotti, stuffed shells and lasagna
- Hand-cut, hand-battered fish for our fish & chips, and calamari
- Croutons for our salads
- Roasted walnuts for our chicken breast salad
- Creamy balsamic and creamy Italian (our house) dressings
- Hot, mild and honey sriracha wing sauces
- Bada Bang sauce for our Bada Bang shrimp
- Tortilla chips for our nachos
- Green (mild) and red (hot) sauces for Taco Tuesday
