When you’ve lost someone, gathering family and friends for a meal matters. Galati’s Hideaway hosts funeral luncheons and celebrations of life for families in Cary, Fox River Grove, Crystal Lake, Algonquin and nearby McHenry County towns.
Galati's is fully accessible, with an elevator to our private upstairs rooms and plenty of free parking. We’ll help you choose a simple lunch buffet, and the room is set with white linens before you arrive. We just need 24 hours' notice. Please call us at 847-516-3663 and we'll take care of the details.

Come on in: Galati's is fully accessible, with an elevator to the upstairs rooms, and there's plenty of free parking. There's no room fee, every room has sound and TV hookups, and every banquet package includes white linen tablecloths and black linen napkins. Funeral luncheons need no deposit; that's our courtesy to families.

- Brunch: $31 per person, served until 2:00 PM

Yes. We need just 24 hours' notice for a funeral luncheon. Please call us at 847-516-3663 as soon as you know your date.
Is the room accessible for older guests?
Yes. Galati's is fully accessible, and our elevator brings guests right up to the upstairs rooms. The Fireplace Room is on the first floor.
What does a luncheon package include?
Create-your-own buffets include bread and butter, a garden or Caesar salad, pasta, an entrée, an assorted mini dessert tray, soft drinks, coffee and tea, and the room is set with white linens.
Do you need a deposit for a funeral luncheon?
No. As a courtesy to families, there's no deposit for a funeral luncheon. Just call 847-516-3663 with your date and an estimated headcount, and we'll take care of the rest.
Do prices include tax and gratuity?
No. Package prices are per person and exclude tax and 20% gratuity. There's no room fee, no deposit is needed for a funeral luncheon, and payment (all major credit cards, checks or cash) is due at the end of the luncheon.
We're close to families in Cary, Fox River Grove, Algonquin and Island Lake. If a gathering at home is easier, our catering trays can help.
