Whether it's 30 years at one company or a teacher's last school year, a retirement party should feel like a thank-you. Coworkers, family and longtime friends can all gather in one private room in Cary, an easy drive from Algonquin, Crystal Lake and Barrington.
Our banquet rooms are open 7 days a week from 11 AM, so a weekday lunch works as well as a weekend evening. The Catwalk (up to 70) has its own full bar and overlooks the sports bar, Room One holds 30 to 45, Room Two 50 to 60 with a full bar, and the whole top floor up to 150 when the whole department wants to come.

Come on in: Galati's is fully accessible, with an elevator to the upstairs rooms, and there's plenty of free parking. Every party includes 4 hours of room time with no room fee ($200 for each extra hour), every room has sound and TV hookups, every banquet package includes white linen tablecloths and black linen napkins, and our banquet rooms are open 7 days a week: Monday–Wednesday 11 AM–11:30 PM, Thursday–Saturday 11 AM–midnight and Sunday 11 AM–10 PM. Your final headcount is due 72 hours before the event.
Packages to consider
- Appetizer packages: $19 (3 choices) or $21 (4 choices) per person
- Create-your-own buffet: $28, $31 or $36 per person, with salad, pastas, entrées and an assorted mini dessert tray
- Family-style upgrade: $6 per person, minimum 30 people
- Bar packages: 3 hours, $20–$36 per person (guests 21+), or a host, limited host or cash bar

Can we hold a retirement lunch on a weekday?
Yes. Our banquet rooms are open 7 days a week starting at 11 AM, so a weekday lunch send-off is as easy to plan as a Saturday night party.
Can we show a slideshow or give speeches?
Yes. Every room has sound and TV hookups for a career slideshow, a video or a few words from the boss.
How do the bar and payment work?
Choose a 3-hour bar package ($20–$36 per person), a host bar, a limited host bar or a cash bar. We can hold your date for 48 hours without a deposit; after that, a $250 non-refundable deposit secures it. There's no room fee for the first 4 hours ($200 per extra hour), and payment (all major credit cards, checks or cash) is due at the end of the party.
Is a school-hosted retirement party tax exempt?
Charities and schools are tax exempt. Mention it when you send your inquiry.
